"Everything is Figureoutable"
As we enter these unprecedented times, I feel having a touchstone or mantra is a powerful tool. I’m tuning into my inner Marie Forleo and stating, “Everything is figureoutable.”
This week, I realized I have always had the privilege of having anything I could ever need or want, right at my finger tips. Food was never something I had to worry about, aside from choosing what I want to put into my body. But there I was, struggling to find items that I needed at the grocery store. I couldn’t help but feel a renewed connection to my ancestors, especially those that lived through the Great Depression. I began thinking of those who regularly encounter food and supply shortages, whether due to war, political unrest, illness, poverty, etc. For some people in our world, the shortages we’re experiencing now are not new. What a sobering reality that is.
As I walked through the aisles, immense gratitude flowed through me. I remembered how utterly blessed I have been, and that ultimately, I will figure this out. We all will. From making use of all ingredients in our cupboards, to developing new ways to serve our beloved clients, community, and loved ones- I know we will bring our compassion and gifts to the table, and support one another through this. I truly believe there are silver linings to be found, and that we can approach this unknown territory in a conscious way. We have this opportunity to shift our consciousness to protecting and up-leveling our collective, not just ourselves. We are rising together. We will get through this together. We were made for this moment.
